Organizing for an inclusive movement and the future we want takes dedication, and ensuring everyone is supported and freely able to participate as themselves is criticial for a strong climate movement – join 350 Colorado in learning!
In these two sessions you will learn about some basic principles of inclusive organizing and common pitfalls to avoid, how 350 Colorado works in this space, and how you can help insure the climate movement is as inclusive as possible.
The original curriculum of these workshops is thanks to Angela Davis of iProject LLC, a Senior Advisor on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 350CO staff, board members, and activists further developed the material and created additional content that is from the landscape of our organizing here in Colorado and not only our efforts as an organization for an inclusive movement, but our hope that as many people as possible will join us in this vision.
And they more than just a learning opportunity. These workshops represent our collective commitment to reshape society towards an inclusive climate solution framework that addresses the root causes of injustice in our communities.
Imagine them as the seedbeds where we’ll learn how to keep making inclusivity central to our efforts, helping us transition to a clean energy economy. We’ll explore what it means to move away from an extractive way of being towards a more sustainable and just future. We want to move toward a movement that can equip all individuals with the resources needed to participate fully in climate organizing, through support, mutual aid, and accountability.
We acknowledge that we’re on a journey, that there’s much to learn and unlearn. But together, we can create spaces where growth and learning are an integral part of our climate justice mission.

Join Congregation Har HarShem for our 2023 Symposium on Spirituality and the Environment Sunday November 2nd at 1pm. It is free and open to all. We will have a keynote from an activist in the Jewish community, and then a panel discussion about activism, advocacy, and next steps to live out our values.
The annual Symposium focuses on bringing people together to explore perspectives on environmentalism from faith and spiritual traditions. We bring forward teachers, academics, faith-based activists in dialogue and shared learning. Our hope: greater understanding leading to greater engagement in acts of environmental protection and justice.

From our friends with the Rainforest Action Network: Join us for a rally in Colorado Springs, October 1st at 11am outside of one of the largest gatherings of insurance executives — the Insurance Leadership Forum at the Broadmoor resort — to demand they insure our communities instead of oil, gas, and coal.
Major insurers like Liberty Mutual, Chubb, and Travelers are increasing rates and walking away from communities as we face wildfires from the climate chaos they are creating by insuring and investing in fossil fuels.
WHEN: Sunday, October 1, 2023 11am – 1pm
WHAT: A rally to hold insurers accountable and demand they insure our communities instead of oil, gas, and coal.
WHERE: Meet at 10:41am at Charmaine Nymann Community Garden at Bear Creek Regional Park, Creek Crossing St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905. We’ll carpool to the Broadmoor from this location!
This is a rare opportunity to disrupt executives who are in town to drink cocktails, and golf while we face the poisoned air, water, and climate destruction from the methane gas, oil, and coal they expand. Join us in holding them accountable to become climate leaders!
